I hope you’re all doing well!
It snowed for a few days again this month. One day it felt like Spring and I was admiring my neighbor’s tree that was about to bloom. Then there was a nor’easter the following day and the tiny tree buds were all covered in snow.
Speaking of covered… my cat, Peach, likes to cover my head in the mornings which inspired this month’s comic. A few of you might find it relatable, and if it is, I’m sorry! Haha. Though, I will say that I’ll take any moment with my cat curling up to me.
The benefit, at least, of waking up at 5am is that I’ve been getting my day started much earlier. With a bit more time, I’ve been trying to focus on getting ahead of my drawings for Patreon/Cafe Nook Club! This month is a Gal/Pal/Valentine theme.
For the postcard, I was inspired by a person I saw playing guitar near the pond in my neighborhood a few month’s ago (the weather these days has not been as green, haha). I thought it would be fun to have them singing to a pug (patron’s pet) near the water.
And for the sticker, I had this idea of a couple of raccoons on a mailbox for a while! This was the perfect opportunity to draw them sending out a little valentine’s letter to someone!
If you’re interested in this month’s snail mail, I’ll send them out to any new patrons that sign up for the $10 tier between now and the end of the month.
The raccoon illustration will also be making an appearance as a new greeting card, alongside my old froggy friend (Mr. Paulaka) and his tea cart! Jessica (from Tiny Deer Studio) also sent me a package of cicada bolo ties with pink cords! These are all available in the shop now. :)
